Kiosk Mode - How to unlock from Kiosk mode?

Hello and Welcome to WeGuard Enterprise Visual Knowledge-base Series.
In this KB article, We will explain how to unlock from kiosk mode on the WeGuard Enterprise Console as well as on the device.
 
WeGuard platform empowers organisations to lock the devices in kiosk mode and provide a distraction free environment for the workforce. However, in case of troubleshooting or issue debugging, IT admins might want to review settings and app information. For which the platform provides a couple of methods to unkiosk the workforce devices.
The two methods to Unlock from Kiosk mode are
  1. By Admin from WeGuard console.
  2. By User from the device.

Method 1 - By Admin from WeGuard console:
  • Login to WeGuard Console with your credentials.
  • From the left navigation menu, click on Devices.
  • Notice the list of devices in your account. Search for the desired device to Kiosk unlock.


  • Click on the selected device.
  • You will be redirected to the device details page. The landing page would be "Actions".
  • From the list of options proceed to click on the KIOSK Unlock and the device will now be out of KIOSK mode.

Note: Make sure the device is online, in order to perform kiosk unlock.
Method 2 - By workforce from the device:
  • To unlock the device from KIOSK mode click on the Lock symbol on the left bottom corner of the screen. This option is driven by the policy "Desired Policy > General > SHOW UNLOCK - ICON IN HOME PAGE > Show Unlock Icon > Save & Continue".

  • On the device, now click on the lock symbol.

  • Enter the KIOSK lock passcode and click on OK.

  • The device will be unlocked and workforce will have access to device system apps & settings where s/he can perform debugging steps as recommended by IT Admin over WeSupport (Remote Control).
