Managing WiFi Settings -Android

Wi-Fi control in Mobile Device Management (MDM) is crucial for ensuring effective device management, security, and operational efficiency within an organization. By having control over Wi-Fi settings, administrators can ensure that devices stay connected to the network when needed, enabling seamless communication and data synchronization.

WeGuard allows administrators to have the ability to configure Wi-Fi settings to ON, OFF, or NONE, based on organizational requirements. 

Wi-Fi Settings Policy Options

      Policy

                                Description

   Wi-Fi ON

Wi-Fi is always ON, and end users cannot turn it OFF.

    Wi-Fi OFF

Wi-Fi is always OFF, and end users cannot turn it ON.

      NONE  

End users can toggle Wi-Fi ON or OFF as needed.


Configuring Wi-Fi settings

  • Log in to the WeGuard console.
  • Navigate to Policies and select the required policy.


  • Under the General tab, find and click on WiFi Settings.




  • Select the Desired WiFi Setting click Save, Review Changes, and then click Confirm and Save.




Warning
Before setting WiFi to OFF, ensure the device has access to a mobile network in order to communicate with WeGuard and apply any restrictions.
