Step-by-Step Configuration

Follow these instructions to modify the Location settings for your managed fleet:

  1. Access the Console: Log in to your WeGuard Console.

  2. Select Policy: Navigate to Policy Groups in the left-hand sidebar and click on the specific Policy you wish to update.

  3. Navigate to General Settings: Within the policy editor, go to the General tab.

  4. Open Location Settings: Locate the LOCATION SETTINGS section and click to expand the options.

  5. Select Your Requirement: Choose the appropriate setting (Location ON, Location OFF, or NONE) based on your organizational requirements.

  6. Save Changes: Click SAVE AND CONTINUE at the bottom of the page to push the configuration to all associated devices.

Key Considerations

  • Battery Consumption: Keeping Location ON at all times may impact device battery life; consider this for long-shift operations.

  • Compliance: For tracking or geofencing features to work accurately, ensure the policy is set to Location ON.

  • Real-time Updates: Once saved, the policy update is sent immediately. Devices must be online to receive and apply the new GPS restriction.
