Windows - How to Restart a windows device using WeGuard console.
Hello and Welcome to WeGuard Enterprise Visual Knowledge-base Series.
In this KB article, We will explain how to Restart a windows device from the WeGuard Enterprise Console.
Since this article is about Windows devices, let’s filter it down by selecting Windows from the dropdown on ‘View Devices by type’.
Note: In order to see the options like Shutdown/Restart on the device page, The device needs to be Switched ON.
Please click on the ‘Restart’ option as shown in the above picture.
Once clicked, You’ll see a message at the bottom of your console saying ‘Successfully sent Command’.
Now on the target device, Please wait for sometime until you’ll see a first warning notification saying ‘You’re about to be signed out’ as shown below.
This delay occurs in order to give some time to users to save the current tasks they might be working on.
Note: The first alert notification typically appears on the device after about 2-3 of minutes of clicking restart on the console.
Note: The Second alert notification typically appears on the device after about couple of minutes of the first alert notification.
