iOS Enrollment - How to perform APNS setup.

Hello and Welcome to WeGuard Enterprise Visual Knowledge-base Series.
In this KB article, We will explain how to perform APNS setup which is a part of iOS enrollment.

  • Login to WeGuard Console with valid credentials. 
  • Click on the cog wheel and select settings which can be found at the top right corner.

Note: If an account is newly created, it will automatically redirect to the settings page.
  • Click on the ‘Platform’ and select ‘IOS’ and click next.


             

             

  • Once the platform is selected, You will land on the APNS setup page.
  • Let’s commence the setup process by clicking on the ‘here’ link as in step 1 mentioned in the APNS setup process on WeGuard console.
  • This will download a ‘.csr’ file. 

  • Click on the ‘Apple Push Certificate Portal’ link as in step 2 mentioned in the APNS setup process on the WeGuard console.
  • This will redirect you to the APNS portal.
  • Now login with your apple id. 
Note: The Apple id used to login to the APNS portal should ideally NOT be your Apple Business Manager Apple id.
  • Once you’re logged in, Please click on ‘Create a Certificate’ and then Accept terms and conditions.


           

  • Now upload the ‘.csr’ file which we have downloaded previously from the WeGuard console.


            

             

  • Once we have created the new push certificate, Click on download button, which downloads the ‘.pem’ file.

  • Let’s go back to the APNS setup page on the WeGuard console and upload the previously downloaded ‘.pem’ file and click complete.

  • Next you will be prompted to select platforms as per your use case. Once selected click next.


             

  • APNS setup has been completed and you will be seeing a page something like this below.
