How to Enable System Update in Policy?

A System Update policy in WeGuard allows administrators to control how and when operating system updates are delivered and installed on managed devices. This helps ensure updates are deployed in a controlled manner to maintain compatibility with enterprise apps and enforce security compliance across all devices in the organization.

Types of Updates:

Update Type	Description
Unspecified	UNSPECIFIED means no update policy is enforced—updates follow the device’s default settings with no admin control.
Automatic	Installs updates automatically as soon as they are available.
Windowed	Installs updates automatically during a defined daily maintenance window. Also updates Play apps within this window.
Postpone	Delays automatic installation of updates for up to 30 days.

Procedure to Disable Screen Capture

Login to the WeGuard Console.
Click on Policies and choose the Policy.

Navigate to the Security tab and activate System Update by choosing the desired update type to deploy to devices.

Then click Save, review the changes, and select Confirm and Save.
