Disabling Native System Settings - Android

Administrators can disable specific device settings in WeGuard to prevent users from making unauthorized changes. Restricting settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VPN, and location services ensures devices remain connected to authorized networks and continue to comply with security policies.
These restrictions enhance device security, maintain policy compliance, prevent unauthorized configuration changes, and ensure devices remain stable and properly managed.

Disabling Settings

  • Login to the WeGuard Console.
  • Click on Policies and choose the Policy.

  • Go to Security and enable Disable Settings.

  • Then click Save, review the changes, and select Confirm and Save.

Info
Once the policy is updated, settings will be disabled on the device, and the user will not be able to access it.

  • The screenshot below shows what it will look like if you disable the settings.

Notes

The procedure is the same for both Kiosk and WM policies.
