How to disable Screen Capture on Android Devices?

Screen capture protection prevents sensitive information from being captured on mobile devices. The administrator of the account may want to disable the capture of screenshots of sensitive and confidential information, such as sensitive company data and customer information, when it is displayed on the screen. In such cases, it becomes necessary to prevent users from capturing screenshots.

  Prerequisites:


Android devices must be running Android 6.0 or later versions and must be provisioned as Device Owner

Procedure for disabling the Screen Capture from the WeGuard Enterprise Portal:


  1. Login to the WeGuard Console
  2. Click on Policy Groups and choose the Policy.

  1. Go to Security and find the Disable Screen Capture Option.

  1. Toggle it ON and click on the SAVE AND CONTINUE button.
If the user wants to use WeSupport, then Allow WeSupport option has to be enabled. 


The end user will not be able to take a screen capture.
