How to disable Easter game on Android Devices?

In Android, an Easter egg is a hidden or undocumented feature, animation, game, or interaction built into the Android operating system by Google or the device manufacturer. It is usually included as a fun surprise and is not part of the normal Android functionality. For example, Android has historically included hidden Easter eggs that can be accessed by going to:

Settings → About phone → Android version → Tap the Android version repeatedly

Depending on the Android version, this can open a hidden animation, game, or interactive screen. This KB will show what Android Easter eggs are, how they can be accessed on Android devices, and their behavior on managed devices. It also provides guidance on how Android Easter eggs may interact with kiosk mode and device restrictions in a WeGuard-managed environment.

Disabling the Easter Egg Game

  1. Log in to the WeGuard Console.
  2. Navigate to Policies and select the required Android policy.
  1. In general, find the ‘Disable Easter Egg Game’ option.

  1. Toggle ON to disable the Easter Egg Game, or toggle OFF to enable them as needed.
  1. Then click Save, review the changes, and select Confirm and Save.
