The Developer Options on Android devices are intended for advanced users and developers. They provide features such as USB debugging for app development, animation adjustments, and control over background processes, which help in debugging, testing, and optimizing applications.
However, enabling Developer Options can introduce several risks, including security vulnerabilities, potential misuse, device instability, app compatibility issues, data loss or corruption, possible warranty concerns, increased IT overhead, policy violations, and privacy risks.
To maintain security and ensure compliance, organizations often disable Developer Options on work devices.
