Cloning a Policy

Cloning a Policy

Cloning a policy in WeGuard MDM allows you to quickly create a copy of an existing policy, saving time and ensuring consistency across multiple device groups.

In WeGuard, cloning is also referred to as "Duplicate Policy." After signing up, a default policy named “Default” is automatically created, which can be cloned or duplicated as needed.

Cloning a Policy

  • Login to the WeGuard Console.

  • Navigate to Policies and click on Clone Policy.

  • Then, search for the policy you want to clone using the search bar on the screen, select the desired policy, and click Next.

  • Enter a new policy name and a description (optional), then click Clone.

  • The policy will be created successfully, and you can search for it using the new policy.

Notes

Any policy, including the default policy, can be cloned/duplicated in the same way.
