Adding Private Application (APK)

An Android Private App is developed specifically for internal organizational use. Unlike public apps available on the Google Play Store, private apps are accessible only to members of the organization and cannot be downloaded publicly.

WeGuard enables secure and seamless deployment of private APK files directly to managed devices, without relying on the Google Managed Play Store.

This eliminates the need to publish the app on the Play Store, enables faster deployment across large device fleets, provides full control over app versioning and rollout, and is ideal for internal tools and business-specific applications.

To deploy a private app, a valid and signed private or in-house APK is required. The APK must be properly signed before deployment.

Installing Private APK

  • Log in to the WeGuard  Console.

  • Navigate to "Policies" and select the "Policy".


  • Click on App Management, Add App, and then upload the APK.


  • Please upload the APK file and upload the APK file and click on Confirm Upload to upload the APK file.


  • Once the upload is confirmed, click on 'Change pending' and click on Confirm and Save.


Installing Available Apps

  • Click on App Management, Add App, and then Click on Available apps.


  • Select the application and click on Add Selected.


  • Click on Change pending and Click on Save and confirm.
