How Do I Install Play Store Apps in the Policy?

WeGuard MDM enables easy installation and distribution of Google Play Store applications across managed devices. It simplifies app deployment, allowing administrators to roll out applications quickly while maintaining better control and efficiency.


Adding the Play Store application


  1. Login to the WeGuard Console.

  2. Click on Policies and choose the Policy.



  • Navigate to App Management. Go to the Play Store tab, press the "+ Add App" button, and choose Search in Play Store.




  • Search for the required application and select it. (For instance, search for Google Chrome and choose it, just like in the picture below.)



  • Once you click Select, the app will be added. Then click Done and select Save Changes.






  • Notice the app being added to the application list, then click Change Pending, followed by Confirm & Save.

If there is a consistent internet connection, the app will download and install itself on every device covered by the policy.
Notes
When you select Save and Proceed, if the "Layout" section is enabled, you will be taken to the Layout Page. Where the application must be added to the "Layout" as necessary. Click here for additional details on "Layouts."
