Device states - Device states in WeGuard

Hello and Welcome to WeGuard Enterprise Visual Knowledge-base Series.
In this KB article, We will explain the device states available in WeGuard.

Overall, below are the states available as of today.
  • Enrolled : Devices that are activated to the policy are tagged as Active. The moment, device is activated, policy applies on the device.

  • Unprovisioned : Devices that are added to the account but still not activated. To know how to add devices to policy refer to our article.

  • Active : Device whose last contact time is within 24 hours is considered as Active device and the same is depicted in graphical presentation with a green dot beside device id.

  • Inactive : Device whose last contact time is not within 24 hours is considered as Active device and the same is depicted in graphical presentation with an orange dot beside device id.

  • Lost : Lost devices can be tagged as "Lost" along with notes.  Learn how to tag a device as lost from our article.

  • Stolen : Device that is stolen can be tagged as "Stolen" along with notes. Learn how to tag a device as stolen from our article.

  • Replaced : Devices that are replaced due to hardware or software can be tagged as "Replaced" along with notes. Learn how to tag a device as replaced from our article.

  • Deleted : Devices that are no longer needed can be deleted. Once deleted, the device will get factory reset. Taking a backup of the data on the device can be achieved through "Storage Explorer"

  • Non-Compliant : Devices which are not synced with the latest policy changes are considered as non-compliant devices. For non-compliant devices, the policy version on the device will not match with the policy version on the console.
